Electricity recipients who meet the criterion of PKD code may obtain the status of so-called industrial customer, which results from the Renewable Energy Sources Act. It enables them to obtain a partial refund of excise duty on energy. The value of such a refund depends on energy consumption level during production. 

It should be noted that industrial customers may not meet in all cases the minimum
criterion of energy consumption, which would etitled them to partial excise duty exemption.
